2013-04-25: by Alessandro Quattrone, CIBIO - University of Trento, Italy. The seminar will take place 14:15-15:00, at University of Copenhagen, SUND/LIFE, A1-01.13 / Building 1-01, Bülowsvej 17, 1. sal, 1870 Frederiksberg C.

Availability of mRNA for translation is an information-rich and almost totally negleted level of omics description. Starting from the relative paucy of available data till some years ago, we are now increasingly understanding that translational control is even the more impacting regulative layer in absolute on gene expression in mammalian cells. From recent literature findings and our own work I will give a perspective on the wet and dry tools available for translatome analysis and on the significance of its study, including applications to the field of drug discovery.
